I've been doing for nothing what I generally get paid to do for a long time.  That used to be solely as a Business Mentor for The Princes Trust.  For a number of years I've also been doing that for Buckinghamshire New University.

They've recently started giving mentors the chance to say a few words online to encourage new mentors, and indeed new mentees, to step forward.  I was delighted to be given the chance to say a few words, alongside some very kind words from my mentee and from the University – it's nice to be appreciated!

So, why should you bother?  Because you will get back far more than you give.  You will see a young business grow, you will sharpen your own thinking, and you will be reminded why you went into business in the first place.  If you have experience to share, I would urge you to step forward.  And if you would value a mentor yourself, please do get in touch.
