Why a free business advice forum?

A series of very successful SME Business Breakfasts held across the Wycombe District were attended by over 300 businesses.  Those businesses were asked for feedback about the issues that they face and what could be done locally to help.

One of the messages heard time and time again was the need for the provision of free help and advice on a range of key business issues.

The District Council took that feedback on board and developed a new website for business, www.wycombeforbusiness.com, to help facilitate the provision of help and advice on the topics that businesses said were important.

This second FREE Business Advice Forum builds on that work, providing help and advice in a more one-to-one way.

In the true spirit of partnership working, a local business volunteered to take on the organisation and administration of this free event, and the programme is now confirmed – along with, more importantly, the mentors who will be on hand for you to meet and speak with.

Programme

Advice sessions with mentors (15 minute slots) from 16:00 – 20:00

During the afternoon there will be refreshments and food available to buy in the networking hall.

There will be an ‘open business mike’ so you can promote your own business to the room!

From 6pm the bar will also be open.

At 8pm there will be an open ‘Reverse Dragon’s Den’ panel where you will have the opportunity to fire questions at successful, award-winning, serial entrepreneurs and find out their secrets to success.
